Saturday morning here guys and I’m having a day inside catching up on some work.

This week has been really quiet, I’ve been swimming a bit, hiking a bit, snowboarded a couple of days and did a stack of work but nothing exciting at all.  Laura was out of town last week and is again this coming week and I have gone an entire week without having a big night!!!

Perhaps I’m getting old.

I’ve got a bunch of friends from the Gold Coast coming over here at the end of the month and I feel like I’m saving my party legs until they get here.

It is also bloody cold here – the pipes froze in the house twice last week.  I definitely think it is time for a summer and the more I think about it the more I’m keen to head to the beaches of Sydney for the coming Aussie summer.

Well I better get back to it – on my list of chores for today is adding a new full length movie to SwimmerBoyz.com so tomorrow I might post some screen shots or even a sample of it for you guys.

I want to be hanging out with these guys, on the beach in my speedos.

I was out on the town for the second time since I’ve been back – wow I am such a party animal. I didn’t drink too much and had a world famous ‘Ferg Burger’ on the way home at about 2pm.

This morning though I just couldn’t get out of bed and now that I finally am I’m not sure what to do with the day.

Laura and I have tried to hook up a couple of times but I’ve had some Aussie mates in town and she has been working a bit but hopefully this weekend I’ll take her out for dinner again.

I need to get off my arse – I’m going for a walk and then a swim I think.

These guys brighten my day a little though.

I just saw the weather on the local news here and there is a good cold front coming through tonight. Snow is forecast on the ground – that only happens once a winter or sometimes not at all.

It is going to be nice and cold tomorrow morning so I’m going to keep working for another couple of hours, watch a movie and maybe have a Tim Tam or two (chocolate biscuit). Actually, I just had a look at what movies I have and I’ve got nothing!!! I’ve just started watching the Stargate SG-1 show – I hadn’t seen 5 minutes of it and Kip gave me a 10 Season DVD set so looks like that will be what I’ll do.

What would be nice though would be to have a cute guy (or girl) to cuddle tomorrow morning. Being somewhat afraid of any kind of long term relationship it isn’t something I get to do that often but I am a fan.

Yesterday I went on my ‘blind’ date that I was setup with.

I’ll call her Laura on here.

Laura is a cutie, Canadian with ”aye’s” finishing every sentence, a little skinny but I suppose that is better than being a little fat.  She is super bubbly and a little hardcore.  I think she is a year younger than me – maybe 2.

So I called her over the weekend but she was working and we arranged to go for a hike yesterday (Monday) and the weather turned it on.  I picked her up in town and took her out to one of my favourite short hikes (2hrs, maybe a little more).  We talked the whole way ’round and when we finished up it was about 3pm so we dropped into a pub in town and had a couple of beers.

Laura had to work later so that was where the day was going to end.

I think it went really well and she txt’d me today – woohooo!!!!

The next ‘date’ is going to be to head up the mountain for some snowboarding and on the way home I’ll take her for a swim – should I speedo it up or not?  I’m not sure which day it will happen, will depend on the weather, but should be in the next couple of days for sure.

I can’t remember the last time I ‘dated’ a girl.  I was pretty nervous – with guys I’m always a little nervous but not as nervous as I was yesterday.

I’ll keep you guys posted on what happens.

On another front – I got a message from one of my online dating sites here in town from a guy who was keen to catch up.  This was last week some time and my reply was that I was keen to  have a discrete ‘fuck buddy’ in town and can’t wait to catch up with him.

Perhaps that was cumming on a little too strong as I haven’t heard from him since.

Well last night was a good night catching up with some friends and out on the town I ran into two more friends that I didn’t even know were still in town.

However, I had absolutely no game with the ladies.

I wasn’t drunk enough to get my groove on the dance floor – actually I felt sober as a judge and just gave up well before midnight and after Subway drove home.

Perhaps I have been drinking a little too much since I got back here and the low altitude has me immune to alcohol.  So I’ve decided that other than the occasional social beer I’m not going to drink this week (I’m a spirits drinker – I just can’t drink beer fast enough to get hammered on it).

So today I got up early, went for a swim and now I’m watching the NHL Playoffs.  The weather is pretty nasty outside but I might go for a walk through my new neighbourhood.

Tonight I’m having a couple I met in Canada over for dinner – no hanky panky there but really nice people and I’m cooking up a rack of lamb – my first attempt at this – should be interesting.
